Power Yoga is a general term used to describe an intense, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Power yoga is closely modeled on the Ashtanga style of practice. Power yoga does not follow a formal series of poses which can make the class vary from week to week. The intensity may be challenging for beginners. Please refer to the instructor for suggestions.

Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together like a dance.
A dynamic yoga class based on the coordination of breath with movement. This fluid approach to yoga will get your body moving and is designed to both re-energize and invigorate you. The majority of the poses will be done standing and will include sun salutations, standing poses and balancing postures. Modifications will be made for all levels.
