It’s already challenging to find a balance between work, school, social life, household tasks—basically everything in your life. How do you find time to exercise? We’ve compiled some tips to help you work out as a busy student.
Treat your workout schedule the same way you treat your class and work schedule. Add designated times in your calendar to work out, and it’ll be harder to skip it. Take the extra mile and reserve your spot for an exercise class ahead of time, so you have no choice but to attend!
Have some healthy food to snack on or bring in your bag whenever you can. You don’t have to completely give up the junk food, but it’s best to eat in moderation.
Study while you exercise
It’s possible! Try taking your notes with you to the gym, and place them on the treadmill or stationary bike. How about reading a quick paragraph for each break?
Quality over quantity
Use effective quality workout! How can you do this?
- Compound movements
- Under 30 minutes
- Max 3x per week

Find a friend
Working out with a friend is also a plus for your social life! Instead of chilling in each other’s rooms, why not try being active? It helps your fitness goals and each other! Having a friend will also hold you accountable and can make a great (and fun) support system.
