Pilates and Yoga
In 2010 I completed my certification in Pilates while training with Fanny LeTourneau at Health Movement Pilates in Ajax, Ontario. I have been classically trained in Pilates on the mat while also adding the use of small apparatus such as elastics, balls, rollers and fitness circles. Additionally I have training that includes the use of the Pilates machines such as the barrels, chairs, elvis, and reformer. Following my Pilates certification and after teaching for six years I then completed my 200hr YTT Certificate from Semperviva Yoga while in Kythira, Greece with master teachers such as Gloria Latham, Cameron Gilley, and Sarah Cutfield. I like to infuse my classes with a combination of alignment-focused movements in a fun and uplifting but challenging atmosphere.
I inherently believe that strengthening the body will in turn strengthen the mind. Participating in any form of exercise that excites you will minimize the possibility of injury and will only make you stronger throughout your everyday activities and routines.
