Inactivity, holds, cancellations

Holds

At any time you can modify your membership to an active or passive hold:
ACTIVE HOLD – You maintain your access to the club by reducing your visits to 4 times per month at a cost of $9 biweekly
PASSIVE HOLD – Reduce your payments to $5 biweekly and have no access to the club Both options require 30 days notice prior to hold period

Membership Transfers

Within your initial term, we do not process cancellations until your complete obligation has been fulfilled. However, you may find someone who is not currently a member who wants to take over the balance of your membership. This service is provided at a cost of $25 plus HST.

Membership Cancellations

Please note that changes to Membership status such as holds, transfers and cancellations cannot be accepted electronically through emails since the end users cannot be verified. Please visit your location in person for these modifications.

I'm new to exercise and not sure where to begin

Women of all ages, shapes and sizes have been safely and comfortably introduced into our award winning facilities. We provide instruction and supervision to ensure a safe an effective way of reaching your health an fitness goals.

Do you offer a free trial?

At different times we offer introductory trials for first time users. Please email us at yourfriends@womensfitnessclubs.com to find out our current trial offer.

Do I have to pay for personalized instruction?

We believe that a quality fitness center should provide introductory instruction at no additional cost. Included with your membership are a fitness consultation and a one on one private Personal Training session with a certified Personal Trainer (a $95 value).

How will I know if I have enough time to use the club?

Two to three times per week, 45 minutes to an hour is all you need for most training programs and with our express circuit training we can develop an effective training program in 30 minutes or less.

what happens if I join and don't use it

are classes included in the membership fees?

We offer both types of membership options where you get a reduced rate for gym only access or full access which includes gym access and the group fitness classes.

i'm having trouble choosing a fitness center, where do i begin?

With the popularity and growth of the fitness industry there are many options to choose from. Ideally, you want to choose the facility you are most likely to use at the most affordable price. Here are some helpful hints to see the real picture and avoid the sales process: Visit the club at the time you will be working out to see how busy they are and if they have staff monitoring the workout area to assist Members Prior to joining, ask what the cooling off period is where you can cancel without penalty Find out the qualifications of the staff that you will be using (child care, group exercise etc) Try to interview a Member at the club to hear the real story.
