This week, we’re all about walking lunges on the treadmill! The lunge is a classic, basic easy way to work your legs, but this is a great variation that uses the equipment we have available to us at Womens Fitness Clubs of Canada.

This exercise is good for balance and control. It targets your inner things to stabilize the hips, the quadriceps muscle of your front leg, and the hamstring of the back leg, while at the same time it stretches the quad of your back leg. It’s a perfect multi-purpose exercise!

Tip: Make sure to use arms in a natural gait pattern movement – that is, swing them exactly as you would if you were walking. Start slow and then increase your speed as long as there is precision.
